Time to Live it up!

"You who are young, make the most of your youth. Relish your youthful vigor. Follow the impulses of your heart. If something looks good to you, pursue it. But know also that not just anything goes; You have to answer to God for every last bit of it," Ecclesiastes 11:9.

Unless you're going off some imaginary decrepit cliff, another year of life sounds pretty darn good.

Come on. Let's be honest. A day where people celebrate YOU. What's not to love?

I'm one of Created Woman's "20 something" gals. In other words, I just had a birthday that would make another "20 something" say, "Dear, Lord. I'm another year closer to being the spitting image of my mother," and make others say, " Honey, If only I could be that age again".

It's a good season. I'm relishing in my youth, as the scripture puts it. I'm running after my dreams and loving hard. Someday I'll have to give an account for everything I did. So, I better make it good!

Travel. Run a marathon. For cryin' out loud, eat some cake already. If you feel like leaving the house with no make-up, be bold...step out, girlfriend!

I found the aforementioned scripture in the book of Ecclesiastes. In the Message Bible, do you know what the name of this chapter is? It's entitled,  "Before the Years Take Their Toll".

Simply put, pursue your heart's desires before you no longer can. What's on your bucket list? What are you holding off from doing until you have a few more dollars or until you lose a few more pounds?

While I'm confident we won't REALLY start living until the day we  meet our Savior, it would be a down-right shame not to enjoy this life we've been given. Party on!

Papa,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for another year of life and blessings!

You've been too good to me. Renew my passion and energy, that I might run towards my destiny with vigor every day.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
