Coby Gonzales finds delight in discovering beauty. This is obvious in her career choice as a hairstylist, where her desire is to find the natural sparkle in each client and bring it to the forefront. This delight is nurtured by her 19 years with her loving husband Mario,cultivated in the raising of her three beautiful children ages 3, 10 & 14 and matured in her relationships with others. She treasures lifelong friendships and the small group she and Mario have hosted for 5 years. Finally, she is forever being refined in her walk with her Creator. She has been honored to be involved in writing for several devotional/study projects. She is an avid reader and enjoys authors such as Beni Johnson, Bill Johnson, Danny Silk, Donald Miller, Kris Vallotton, and Lisa Bevere. Coby finds rest in painting and in her regular date nights with her husband.
After countless prayers, Erika Gonzalez heard the call of God to move from South Texas to the ATX last year. What the 25-year-old thought was a career move, wound up being the most important step in her walk with God….the change from religion to relationship. She works as a bilingual reporter for KEYE TV and Telemundo. After months of hardship and trying to settle in in an unfamiliar environment, she realized it was time to cement her relationship with the one true love of her life…Jesus Christ.Through an invitation to Shoreline Christian Center by her now, spiritual mother, Erika found everything she had been longing for… family, friends, increase in work and finances and all because she humbled herself, got down on her knees, turned to the cross and asked to come “home”. Erika is an energetic and charismatic young woman hungry for God. Her writing is based on the new-found glories and encounters in the vibrant world of a latina woman searching for it all and smiling in the pursuit.
