Dressing for Success: Empowering Women to Discover Their Dreams
Our whole High School and College life we start hearing and learning about how to make a great first impression. The right greeting, what to say the first 30 seconds, our body language and of course the way we dress for an interview all play an significant part in whether or not we are chosen as the right applicant for a job. It can be quite intimidating! What if you stumble your words, what if you trip on the way in? What if your resume isn’t what they are looking for? The dream job you’ve had since you were a little girl could just slip through your fingers in an instant. But what if you had all the right tools, talents, passion and had all the right words but lacked just 1 thing….the clothes! That’s it; just 1 material possession stopped you from going in and grabbing your dream job. The job you knew would take care of your family and empower you to use your gifts and talents. The very job you were created for.
Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that helps promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. And yes, you can be a part in helping other women discover their dreams and become the women they were created to be!
Join us March 20th from 6-8pm at North Door, Austin, TX for CW’s charity fashion show benefitting the women of Dress for Success. It will be a night of fashion, networking and empowering women to Dress For Success!
Donate professional attire and participate in the evenings raffle while enjoying a fashion show provided by local Austin boutiques and designers.
