Learn a Lesson From the Rabbit
I stood at my glass sliding door, looking into my back yard, while sipping my first cup of morning coffee. What a beautiful sight as the early morning sunlight cast its beams across the yard. Suddenly, a beam was cast on a figure racing up and down the plastic temporary construction fence my husband had erected at the back edge of the yard. The purpose of the fence was to keep neighborhood kids and un-wanted creatures from the nearby woods from walking on the grass he had recently planted.
But, lo and behold, here was this "creature" that I didn't recognize who had made his way inside the fence. "What is that," I wondered?
Then all of a suddenly the sun cast a beam right on it, and I saw one of the biggest rabbits I have ever seen racing wildly up and down the fence. Quite obviously, he had somehow gotten inside the fence from the back woods and was now trying to find a way of escape back to his surroundings. At last, he discovered the way out and off he hopped, back to his natural habitat.
Okay, by now you are wondering, "what in the world does a rabbit have to do with encouraging women to be Fashioned Inside Out in order to become all God created them to be, as this website advocates?"
Think this through with me:
- Do you feel that there is something within you that has not been fulfilled?
- Do you dwell on all the obstacles you think are in your path?
- Do these so-called obstacles give you the feeling that you are fenced in and can’t get out?
If so, learn a lesson from the rabbit:
Keep on keeping on, racing up and down that obstacle path.
There will be an opening in the fence for you
to hop right into your natural habitat you were created to be in.
Oh yes, think about this: "I knew you before you were formed within your mother's womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world. And don't be afraid of the people, for I, the Lord, will be with you and see you through." (Jeremiah 1:4,5,8 – TLB)
