Is it Ready Yet?

"Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, The Lord tested Joseph's character," Psalm 105:19.

There's nothing like the smell of a cake in the oven. The sweet, dang-near intoxicating aroma, permeates the house and leaves us asking, "Is it ready yet?"

When you dream big and then have to wait to see that vision (s) come to pass, we're left asking the very question. "Is it ready yet?"

Although Joseph had an incredible call on his life, the scriptures show us the Lord would test his character before fulfilling his dreams.

One of twelve sons, Joseph knew his brothers would one day bow down to him. The Lord had given him this truth in a dream. But it would be years before that ever happened.

Just because you don't see your dreams coming to pass, doesn't mean they're dead and gone. You're being tested. Like Joseph, your character is being tested.

Will you praise him if you don't get that promotion? Will you praise him if you can't have that baby? Will you praise him if you don't meet that man?

The cake is in the oven. However, eating it before all the ingredients are thoroughly cooked can actually make you sick. It needs time...time to be just right.

Eventually, the cake HAS to come out of the oven. Your dreams WILL come to pass. Relax. This is only a test.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for the peace that abounds all understanding. Give me joy and patience while I wait for my dreams to be fulfilled. Bring them to pass only when you can get the most glory. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
