4th Quarter Resolution
Hello sweet woman,
Do you ever feel like you’re stressed with the hustle of life, stretched and stressed beyond measure, completely overwhelmed? I’ve had those moments. As a mother, wife, and writer who works from home – my life feels stressful throughout the weeks.
But then again it is all about perspective and mindset. When I find myself going down the pity pathway, I stop, pause, and think about how I’m thinking. Thoughts lead to behavior, which over time lead to character. Deciding to choose to think differently can lead to different thoughts to tell oneself and thus a shift in perspective. Thankfully, recently I was able to get some time to reflect and retreat from the daily stressors of life.
Created Woman’s 6 principals are Health, Healing, Dreams, Fashion, Identity, and Purpose.
Do any of those resonate with you? Is there an area that you are currently focusing on to take care of?
A few weekends ago the Created Woman family team went on a retreat in the beautiful hill country of Wimberley, TX. It was an intensive weekend of the women of God who serve the Created Woman tribe, where we were able to get our cups emotionally and spiritually filled so that we can serve from the overflow of blessings. As well as an opportunity for the team to get to know one another on a more personal level all while leaning tools to reach our dreams as a team and individually. One of the speakers there was Barbara Salisbury, a life coach. Y’all, she was a God-sent blessing to all the women there! Her questions led to healing answers after introspection and prayer. There was even a designated time to spend undivided personal time with Jesus. It wasn’t a long period of time, yet so many women heard from God.
Barbara spoke on crushing past negative emotions and negative thoughts. She related those to how in the garden of Eden the two questions God asked Adam were 1. Where are you? 2. Who told you that?
God certainly does not want His children living with anything other than His favor, Grace, and love. Anything else is holding His people back. Whether it be something internally that one may be thinking or not acting to fulfill a goal for His purpose in your life. God want us, His children to live well and seek His word for answers to our lives.
After receiving healing from God. These are ways to stay in healing by renewing our mind daily.
1. Pray and fast
2. Get to know God better through reading His word the bible and praise and worship.
3. Capture negative thoughts and release them.
4. Replace previous thoughts with positive thoughts and affirmations.
Currently I am focusing on meeting my health goals, eating cleaner with less processed foods, exercising daily, and sleeping better. Those are my current health goals. How about yourself, what are your current goals?
Prayer
3 John 1:2 (NIV)
“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
Personal reflection:
1. What ways can you renew your mind daily?
2. In health or healing focused, what is one goal you would like to work on?
3. What 3 action steps can you do to complete this goal? Write due dates with each action step and complete them. Romans 12:2 (NIV)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
