Most of you know that my husband is a real-estate agent but what a lot of you don’t know is that his real dream is to build houses – that’s his passion.  He loves talking about building houses, looking at construction sites and scoping out land where houses can be built.  It’s in his blood and once he starts talking about it you can see a change in his face.  He knows every detail; how, where, what it takes and who he should build houses with.  So today as I was thinking about the story in the Bible about the wise and foolish builders I wondered how many of us know exactly how to build a firm foundation; what does that even mean?  Matthew 7:24 says that ‘The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall, because it had is foundation on the rock.’  Well, we all know I am sure the rock is Christ himself, but how do we build it?  What are the practical ways we can actually build that foundation?  I am sure a builder knows what the ingredients are to make cement; so what exactly are the ingredients to build a foundation in Christ?  I think this can answer the question how to build a just a regular house or a real home.  What do you say the ingredients are?  Let us know what you think?
